Our Stainless Steel Sleepers and Segment Rings are manufactured from 316L Surgical Stainless Steel.

Stainless Steel also known as 316L and Implant Grade Steel, is a steel alloy that is the most common body piercing material.

They are perfect for sensitive skin as they are hypoallergenic and will not tarnish or discolour.

Stainless Steel can be polished to an extremely shiny surface and many people prefer this material to Titanium because of its high luster and shine.

Stainless Steel is biocompatible, hypoallergenic and will not irritate the skin.

Size Suggestions

Everyone's piercing is unique, at the time of your piercing the professional piercer will choose an appropriate diameter and gauge to accommodate the position, size and shape of your particular piercing. This diagram is suggested sizes for nose and ear piercings and is to be used only as a guide. If you are unsure what gauge or size to order, it may be worthwhile to visit your professional piercer for advice.

How to Measure

When working out what size is the best to purchase you need to consider the guage (thickness) and the size or diameter of the jewellery.

In this diagram we show where to measure the jewellery to get an acurate size.

Thickness

The gauge of our 365 Sleepers earrings body jewellery refers to the thickness of the jewellery, which is also the needle size that your piercer used to create your piercing.

The thickness of 365 Sleepers is measured in millimetres and represented by Gauge Size.

We cater for all needs by having the thinnest 20G (0.8mm) right up to the very thick 2G (6.0mm).

We sell 20G, 18G and 16G as pairs or singles and all the thicker sizes as singles.

Size / Diameter

The diameter of 365 Sleepers is the measurement of the Inside Diameter of the ring. For example, an 10mm ring in 18G (1.0mm thick) will measure 12mm on the outside diameter.

Each person’s piercing is unique in position and people also like different looks. Some prefer the hoop to hang below the lobe whereas others like the hoop to fit snug.

Generally, the most popular diameter for a regular ear piercing is 8mm, 10mm and 12mm.
